HISTORY OF THE LIBERTY THEATER:

Built in 1918 at a cost of $80,000.00, the Liberty Theater paid for itself the first year it was
open. It was built to seat 536 people and featured silent movies and vaudeville acts.  Tickets
were purchased at the front ticket booth for 20-30 cents, the cheaper seats being in the
balcony. Patrons would then walk down the outside walkway and enter the theater at the rear
of the building. The stage and orchestra pit were located on the first floor. The dressing rooms
for the vaudeville actors were on the second floor. When sound films came out in 1929, the
theater was closed as a movie house, a false ceiling added and the bottom floor was converted
into the Liberty Cafe. Then, in the 1960's, it was changed again into a retail and antique shop.
The upstairs area remained unchanged since its closing.

In 2003, the current owners started renovation on the original theater and have done a
spectacular job in doing so. It has a beautiful gift shop, a cinema museum and is a functioning
theater. The theater takes you back in time to an era of long, long ago.....
HAUNTED HISTORY
Patrons have reported hearing pipe organ sounds coming from the non working pipe organ at
the foot of the stage. Various mysterious voices and noises have been heard throughout the
theater. Two men were killed in the projection room due to an explosion from the carbide
projection lamp in the projector. Some of the investigators did have some personal
experiences. A flashlight flew out of one of our investigator's pocket landing on the floor a
little distance away. When he picked it up and placed it back in his pocket, he asked if "they"
could do it again. Just then the flashlight started to move in his pocket. While we were sitting
near the top row of the theater, all of us were seeing shadows moving left and right on the
small wall that separates the stage section from the seating section. We did see them with our
eyes but they unfortunately could not be picked up on video. Various bumping noises were heard
coming from the stage area but the source could not be located.
Some cold spots were felt and EMF spikes were occasional.
We had our experimental T.Az.P.R.S. energy emitting device working at the time which added
energy to the room, allowing some entities the choice of using it for their own purposes. It is a
curious thing that directly behind the area that the device was in, we seem to have captured on
digital still camera what looks like a man standing in front of the crates on stage wearing what
looks like a trench coat and a fedora hat.

Others are pics of two different women of the era. (mouse over)

This EVP is just someone
saying "hi" to us
In this EVP
someone is saying
"hey guys"
In this EVP, it sounds like a woman whispering
"hookin' ass"
EVP Evidence
With the evidence of audio and still pictures gathered from the first investigation of the
prestigious Liberty Theater, it would be beneficial to conduct a follow up investigation. The
utilization of our newly updated equipment would open the doors for more different types of
evidence that may be collected. We will be adding to this page, which has been devoted to the
Liberty Theater, from time to time as we get more information to pass along.

We here at T.Az.P.R.S. would like to express a heart filled "thank you" to the  owners of the
Liberty Theater. Their kindness, generosity and trust is greatly appreciated and respected.
